Honestly one of the best fish n chips shops I've ever been to and I'm a Kiwi so I know my Fish n Chips

Sure, there are trendier places in North Fitzroy to get a takeaway burger, but I tell you what: those trendy places can't beat the beef burger or the veggie burger at the Seafood Shak. Do yourself a favour.

The fish was quite nice but the chips weren’t nice, which was disappointing after all the positive ratings we saw prior to going there. The souvlaki was good but was quite plain. The boys loved their burgers

After reading the reviews, and after ordering the food, we are confused by the good reviews! Our fish order was full of bones and the fin of the fish - we couldn’t eat it. Never been to a fish shop that doesn’t de-bone the fish. Extremely difficult to try to eat when the fish is fried. We can’t recommend it.

Got the fish shak burger and lunch pack. Fish and chips were fried light and crispy, doesn't feel greasy or oily, good portions, potato cakes were really crispy and surprisingly good like hash browns. Fish burger had very fresh ingredients and fish was cooked perfectly. 5/5
