The seafood was incredibly fresh, and the sauces paired with each dish were absolutely fantastic. Every bite highlighted the natural flavors of the seafood so beautifully. The dessert was also amazing, and overall it was such a happy and memorable dining experience.

An experience worth sharing in detail. The genuine instant enthusiast welcome began the evening. A smallish venue, well lit, kitchen partially visible with a small host crew. Jenny conducts the front of house like a maestro, ready smiles and a chat, and attentiveness for all. Jack in the kitchen provides the magic. Cocktails and complimentary seasoned pepitas to start. An Asian inspired menu that begged for one of everything to be ordered, which was nearly achieved. The use of local produce is great to read. So let the meal begin. Oysters with two different flavours, both delicate and refreshing. The โ€˜smallโ€™ plates are per each, allowing two bites. Scallop is a work of art, a crisp apple flavour matching well with the soft scallop. Raw prawn on seaweed crisp gives a spicy burst on the tongue of Gochujang and friends. Definitely order this one again. Snapper belly on witlof is tasty with mild flavours, looking for a bit more chilli. Crab Croquette has a crunchy case with creamy inner, so delish, with an amazing crystal ice plant topper. Onto the โ€˜mediumsโ€™ with umami well established. Ocean trout tartare with quinoa crisps was a fun dish with the soft crisps giving the challenge to be handled very gently to prevent breaking. Snapper sashimi with buttermilk plus, could include more seasoning in my view. Snapper itself was delish. Abalone with quinoa porridge. Great flavour abalone. The abalone liver was in the porridge, being a traditional way to serve this, however a piece by itself would be welcomed. Calamari was the show stopper for the mediums. On first glance the dish looks like rice noodles, however this is the calamari barely cooked then shaved. Absolutely amazing & with the Mushroom XO sauce, mostly house made, created a party in the mouth. Jennyโ€™s knowledge & discussion of each dish brought them to life. A thoroughly enjoyable evening, most highly recommended.

Had the best seafood of my life in Geelong! John Dory and oysters were incredible and paired perfectly with a glass of local white wine. Everything was fresh and full of flavour. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. Beautiful spot by the waterfront โ€” perfect for a relaxing weekend evening. Iโ€™ll definitely be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to The Raw for lunch yesterday. The service was fabulous and Peter was super attentive, knowledgeable and very friendly. Each dish that came out was delicious, beautifully presented and flavour combinations were innovative and imaginative. We will definitely be back and highly recommend The Raw to anybody.

Wow wow wow, if I could give more than 5 stars I would. They havenโ€™t been open long but absolutely fantastic. We had the tasting menu, and yes you get your moneys worth thatโ€™s for sure. Great size dishes and plenty of them. Service was great, presentation awesome but taste of each dish was absolutely sensational! If you live in Geelong, lucky you! Will definitely come back if visiting Geelong.
