This was our second visit and we loved it! Splurged a bit and had starters, mains and dessert. Everything was very yummy! The food was all well cooked and the wine was great. An amazing atmosphere and the staff were all lovely! It was great to meet noth owners, with the chef popping out to see how our meals where. We were the last to leave but were not made to feel hurried. Great experience and I highly recommend.
We live in Sydney and came here for holiday. Had the best dinner experience at the Poyers with my family. Menu is impressive and creative, has some seafood dishes that are quite rare to find in Sydney. Food is delicious and staff are lovely.
We were looking forward to coming here for along time. The food was fantastic and did not disappoint! We got the following: . Kids fish, mash & veg- Really tasty for a kids meal . Oysters - Delicious . Rabbit tortellini - Perfect texture for the pasta, the sauce and accompaniments were really tasty. Only thing is the rabbit filling was on the small side . King fish Ceviche - Fantastic . Stuffed zucchini flowers - Really tasty . โญOrange roughy - Absolutely faultless and the best dish of the day . Creme brulee - Really nice. Perfect texture Just to note though that I would have given 5 star's but found the staff the be quite inattentive, we felt a little ignored. Nice venue and delicious food so would recommend and return.
An amazing find on our Sydney to Byron Road Trip ๐ we needed some where we could bring our dog in with us as she was recovering and they had beautiful stool seating outside. I didnโt get to take a photo of all the dishes we had as I dug right in and forgot. The Chef and Owner are a husband and wife team, you can really feel their love and presence in the food and service. We had the stuffed zucchini flowers, pippies, oysters and lobster. So much on the menu to come back and try, they work with all the local food producers and the menu really reflected the flavors of the sea with local snails and squid stuffed with hermit crab. Itโs rare to find a decent sticky chai or a good tea selection in a restaurant that makes good food and The Poyerโs delivered! Cannot wait to come back! Thank you!
WOW! Incredible all round! Emailed to book as it was after hours and got a confirmation quickly (also after hours). Appreciated placing us at a window table with the view as we were there to celebrate two birthdays. The owners were there working with the staff, chef owner came and saw us after our meal which felt lovely. The atmosphere was a lovely, high end family run restaurant. Service was prompt and food was INCREDIBLE! So fresh, bursting with flavours. We had, and highly recommend: Kingfish cervice (special), raw beef entree- not sure of the name (special), truffle oil Parmesan oysters, lamb shoulder, swordfish (special) and OH MYโฆ. The.. lobster!!! Quite $$$ but being a special occasion we splurged. And could not be disappointed in any $ they was dropped. Delicious! Despite the menu saying it was โร lโamericaine styleโ it was very Thai flavoured in a herb filled sauce with rice which was incredible, light and summery full of fresh flavour. I think the American style is just as itโs served for using your hands with bone crunchers and I got messy - donโt wear white, take a bib ๐. Mandy, the owner had extensive knowledge of the wine menu. Desert was then a special vanilla custardy filled pastry with berries. What a day! Iโm rating it the best high end meal I have had in Port Stephens. Date nights, special occasions will forever now be spent at Poyers
