The fried/battered fish was quite nice, we had the red Emperor. The fresh lobster and Moreton bay bugs was a tad overcooked. The oysters were quite fresh, we enjoyed those. The fresh prawns were okay, nothing special, however nothing bad either. The guy serving was pretty inexperienced, he just needs more training.

Absolutely the best fish and chips on the Gold Coast! The snapper was fresh and perfectly cooked, and the lobster roll was next level. Huge thanks to Chris, the owner, for being so warm and welcoming. Can’t wait to come back!

Overall, I would visit again if I were in the area. 4.2/5 Oysters are fresh, they only have 1 option though. 4.5/5 Cold lobsters are huge and quite tasty. 3.9/5 the grilled half lobster tasted slightly overcooked - quite dry and a bit tough, it is also very small in size 4.2/5 Fish and chips were almost amazing, but somehow the barramundi inside falls apart / flakes instead of being in clumps of freshness. Might be the way that fillet was handled before/during the process or the age of the fish. Chips - I ate more than I usually did. 4.4/5 - deep fried mussels were up to standard too.

Great experience! Excellent customer service and incredibly fresh seafood. We arrived later in the evening and were still warmly welcomed, even though oysters had sold out. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The photo doesn’t do it justice—highly recommend!

The Blue Lobster is my favorite place to buy fresh fish and seafood to take home. The quality is consistently fresh and delicious. The lovely owners, Maria and her husband, are the friendliest and most welcoming people you could meet. I highly recommend this place for purchasing fresh seafood to cook at home or enjoying a nicely cooked fish on-site. It’s a fantastic addition to the Q Super Centre and the entire neighborhood.
