Had lunch as this “hidden” gem in Newtown and they exceeded all my expectations. The sushi melted in my mouth and the broth in the ramen was really rich in flavor and salty (as I love it). Calm place and nice atmosphere ☺️ scanned a QR-code to order. Will def be back!!

Enjoyed dinner here tonight! The nigiri tasted very fresh and soft. I ordered tsukemen and it easily became one of my favourite tsukemen ever! The pork was so delicious and tender and I loved the addition of cabbage in the broth to balance the flavour. I added one of the lime slices to the broth halfway in and it enhanced the mushroom flavour!

Authentic, Fresh, and Fun Loved the Sushi Bar Experience! I had lunch at Take Sushi and Ramen Bar in Newtown, and it was such a great experience from start to finish. I chose to sit at the sushi bar, which turned out to be the best decision I could see the chefs working right in front of me, carefully preparing sushi rolls and plating dishes with so much skill and attention to detail. It really added to the atmosphere and made the meal feel more personal and fun. We tried a variety of dishes, and everything tasted super fresh. The mini chashu don was a comforting bowl of rice topped with tender, flavourful pork. We had salmon sashimi and salmon ship sushi, both melt-in-your-mouth good. The miso soup was warm and soothing perfect for the chilly weather. Some dishes were transferred from another table, including spicy pork gyoza, tuna sashimi, and a standout salmon carpaccio that was beautifully presented and packed with flavour. Service was friendly and fast, and the vibe of the restaurant was lively but still relaxed. If you’re a fan of Japanese food or love watching your meal being made in front of you, I highly recommend visiting this spot. I’ll definitely be back!

Located within a short walking distance from the train station and nus stops, this place is a convenient to get to. It was my first time trying this place and I really enjoyed my meal here. Ramen was good as the pork was fresh and was a good amount too. Though a little on the salty side and the chashu was on the fatty side. The takoyaki was well priced and I liked the sauce accompanying it as well. I also liked the matcha ice cream as it had a good amount of matcha in it. I liked the simplicity yet tasteful decor and the earthy elements for furniture. The place is kept clean and staff were quick to clear the tables too once patrons were done. Staff were attentive and polite too. This would be a place I am happy to come back to. Worth giving it a try for anyone thinking of doing so.

I love the open kitchen and bar where you can see them cooking. The staff are also very welcoming. It’s a hidden gem but there’s always a queue. Loved the whole experience
