Itโs my first time to be there but itโs worth the try! A must try! One of the best Indonesian Restaurants Iโve been to. ๐ฅฐโค๏ธ I love how accommodating and hospitable they are. Thank you for the Matcha drink! I will be always coming back. โค๏ธ
Last-minute office catering and the experience was fantastic. Portions were generous and pricing was well worth it. The mie goreng had a great smoky wok flavour, the satay maranggi beef was tender and full of flavour, and the grilled chicken was honestly the best Iโve had in town โ smoky, sweet, savoury and perfectly marinated. Even my colleagues couldnโt stop talking about it ๐. The vegies pecel with corn fritters was spot on, especially the peanut sauce. Everyone loved the food. Aripโs home-style cooking was absolutely delicious. 5/5, highly recommend!
Came to Raja Gurih to try their Lamb Fried Rice and it did not disappoint! Authentic flavour, a bit on the oily side but packed with taste and generous chunks of lamb. Itโs served with carrot pickles that perfectly balance the richness of the dish. Also tried their bakso โ comforting and delicious โ and the mendoan, which was on the crispier side (not exactly my preference, but still a solid dish!). I finished with pempek, and it actually exceeded my expectations. It reminded me of pempek kulit but lighter in colour; the cuko sauce had a deep flavour without being too spicy โ just right for me. Service was friendly (as youโd expect from any good Indonesian spot โ something I really miss!) and quick. The prices are very reasonable for both portion and location. Halal-friendly place with vegan and vegetarian options too. The staff are really mindful โ theyโll even ask about allergies when you order at the counter, which I really appreciate. Left with a happy tummy and will definitely come back to try their coto or mie ayam next time. Oh, and they sell martabak at the counter โ so good to know where to get my fix when the craving hits! ๐
I took out ayam geprek, beef konro, and pempek for lunch and all of them were yummm. My fav is beef konro. The taste is very authentic and I think not only the Indonesians will enjoy it but also other people from other countries. The beef was super tender, it literally fell off the bones ๐ฅนthe owner was generous with the amount of beef they gave. As for the pempek, the strong smell of fish could be tasted, it wasnโt kind of pempek that was mostly flour. The sauce was on point! It was flavorful. I could taste sweetness, sourness, and a bit of spice. Ayam geprek was also delicious, the sambal was spicy with hint of kaffir lime leaves. Definitely will comeback again insyaAllah โจ
This has to be one of the most underrated Indonesian eateries. I wonโt call myself a food connoisseur, I'm just your average joe.. but the food here is absolutely next level. They should be so much more popular! The sambal kacang was second to none, and the chicken was just perfection.. the skin was so crisp and the meat so tender it fell right off the bone. The sambal was also incredible, not just spicy but with a great mix of flavor. The atmosphere could be better.. but for the price and quality of the food, itโs completely acceptable. Highly recommend!
