I feel very sorry for this place. It was my first time visiting tonight after reading all the great reviews and I was excited to try. I ordered online at 5pm for a 6.15pm pick up and arrived on time, but ended up waiting an extra 35 mins. It’s a Saturday night and the place was very busy. There was about 8 people working and everyone seemed very stressed and overwhelmed. A customer who was clearly a regular was giving some firm feedback to the apparently recent new owners of this business. During the discussion, the owner mentioned the oil is getting changed once a week, when in a business like this it should be twice a week (as the regular mentioned too) and you can tell - the oil is not clean, the fish and chips are too dark and the flavour is not great. Chips are soggy. Oil is running so hot you can see the steam. I ordered grilled Fremantle sardines and watched them be cooked (the need max 3 minutes per side) but they were cooked for over 10 minutes and were way overcooked. To top it off, our fish was the wrong order. The owner is adamant they are using the same suppliers and processes as the previous owners but clearly something is not working for them. I really hope they find their feet and it works out for them. Owning a small business is often a thankless task and I do not envy them. All the best and hope you take this feedback on board. They really are working hard and trying their best. A shame because the reviews were so great.

Great fish & chips! Took my UK girlfriend here to show off Aussie fish & chips and was not disappointed. We rocked up 5min before close and they let us finish our meal while they close up. Was very nice of them. Some Malt Vinegar would elevate the experience in our opinion

It had lots of promise but a little disappointing. Fish not that nice and chips were not crisp. We saw some good reviews but did not live up to hype and neither of us could finish our meals. We spent 5 weeks in WA and everywhere else was exceptional when we had fish and chips (including roadhouse in Bremer Bay). I think they need to adopt the Greek approach to seafood (simple preparation with seasoning and fresh oils highlighting the fresh natural flavour of very fresh seafood)

Fish is fresh and cooked to the crispy touch, chips are good, as i got to decide the salt level on them although i prefer no salt-dine-in advantage. Price is good- big at aud15, small for aud11 for a party of 3. Glad to make the 25mins walk to this place- highly recommended for ones crave for good fish & chips. Services excellent, keep it up! Wide choices of drinks to choose from too.

The fish was pretty good. Got the seafood basket. Scallops didn't have much flavor. Prawns were nice and fresh. Squid rings tender. Fish itself was good and crispy on the outside. Overall the food was good. Chips not so much. Just frozen and fried so that was sad. The sauce is also expensive for tiny packages. I guess you should just walk around with tomato sauce and tartar sauce if you go to any fish n chips places in Aus. Was good enough to go again if I had more sauce. Not good enough to make a special trip.
