I simply cannot express how much of a MUST this place is to visit. During our 2 week stay in Melbourne we visited here 4 times. The oysters are the freshest and best you can find. The staff will explain each and every type of oyster to you and pair it to your preference. Even pair it with a wine of your choice. The wine bar next door, phenomenal. Some of the best wine Iโve had in my life, and even my sommelier friend who was with me, agreed. The service is unmatched. The owner greeted us at the door with a hug on one of our last visits. I will think about this place in my SLEEP. and will ensure I visit any time I am in Melbourne. If you like oysters and nice people, this is the place to come. 10 10 10s across the board. Not a bad word to say. I canโt put into words how much I loved it here.
Great hole-in-the-wall spot for fresh oysters. No frills, same for the service, but if you come to eat oysters itโs well worth it. Would return
This little bar is fantastic. Extremely fresh oysters are shucked right in front of you. I asked for the owner for a selection and he picked from a range of tastes from balanced to creamy. The drinks and seafood dishes completed the meal. The scallop sour and tuna tartare stood out to me
Fresh quality oysters - had the shuckmasterโs tasting set and was particularly fond of the Angelโs Happy Tears! Then ordered another half a dozen of it paired with glass of Riesling. So good.
It is a small oyster bar. One shop does takeout and the other one is the bar. Muli means oyster in mandarin. The staff can speak mandarin if you need. Quite friendly they were. You mix many kinds of oysters for a varied experience. I just got a mixture of the no.2 to 5 on the menu. 2 was very creamy while they other two were more briny. They also suggested a beautifully opened sea urchin but I was in a rush so I turned that down. The place is a bit cramped to sit in. My lobster roll tasted very good however the size is very very small for $28. The size of a quarter pounder from maccas would be more appropriate.
