It's my first visit to this Malaysian Restaurant / Cafe today. Overall satisfaction was fair and not keen for re-visiting in terms of price, food porton and quality. I ordered Seafood Kway Teow. The portion is comparatively smaller than most other Malaysian Restaurants in Australia that I ever tried. Unfortunately the taste was not good either as it was perhaps overcooked or the wok used to fry the rice noodle had not been cleaned thoroughly before using, the Kway Teow tasted bitter and was not tasteful. I saw my friend's dishes were either having portions smaller than usual or unpalatable. However, the staff were nice and both the indoor and outdoor dining areas are nicely set though. The overall price levels are comparatively higher than others, so it was not encouraging for me to re-visiting. Having said that I don't disagree that you may still pay a visit if you pass by or work nearby, as you know there are very limited choices of restaurants in this quiet city.
We had the Prawn Dumplings with homemade chilli (I highly recommend these & the homemade chilli), Kuey Teow, Nasi Lemak Crispy Chicken with homemade sambal & Sarawak Kam Pua with grilled pork belly. I loved the Lemak Crispy Chicken with homemade sambal & the prawn dumplings. The homemade sambal & chilli were a stand out to me.
Delicious food, amazing service, what more can you ask for. Oh and BYO. Char kway teow was on3 of the best i have had in Australia. Sarawak Laksa is a must try to taste something a little different.
We loved MM! The satays were too good and had to order another serve. Service is friendly and the food was as good as what I’ve enjoyed in Malaysia. A great, alternative cuisine in the heart of the city
One of my favourite Malaysian cafes. Previously known as 'Amicus Curae' Cafe next to Hilton hotel. I really enjoyed the tossed noodle with pork belly and mushrooms along with the prawn dumplings in Sarawak laksa soup. The entree Zucchini prawns in creamy Tom yum sauce is also highly recommended. Do try their latest chicken' Satay' too, love the homemade peanut sauce. Authentic and homey delicious food. 👍
