Let’s start, yesterday We went back to Gribbels Marrickville and tried completely different dishes — and somehow they impressed us even more. The fact that this is a seafood restaurant serving lamb cutlets that taste better than most places I’ve ever been to honestly surprised me. They were cooked perfectly — juicy, full of flavour — and paired beautifully with the pita bread, Greek salad, and yoghurt sauce. Everything came together perfectly. I couldn’t stop eating, and once I finished, I literally couldn’t move. 😄😆 I ordered the grilled lobster, and wow — it was absolutely delicious. Perfectly cooked, fresh, and full of flavour. I usually can’t finish a whole dish like that, but this time I finished it comfortably… and yes, I was even licking my fingers at the end. 😋😆 The presentation was great, the place was clean, and the service was incredibly friendly. Prices are very reasonable, and the portion sizes are amazing — as you can see from the photos. This is a place more people should come and check out, whether you’re local or visiting, with family, friends, or for a function. It really doesn’t matter — just come and try it. Just make sure you come hungry… and maybe cancel your plans afterwards. 😄

Wow. Let’s begin, Gribbels Marrickville absolutely blew me away. The John Dory was cooked perfectly — and I don’t say that lightly. It was meaty, beautifully cooked, and clearly done with care. I love my John Dory😋, and this was honestly spot on. The place itself was very clean, and the chef and owner were welcoming, relaxed, and had a great sense of humour — exactly what you want in a restaurant. It created a laid-back, comfortable environment that a lot of places are honestly missing these days. Because it’s an open kitchen, you can actually see how clean and organised everything is. Everything is cooked to order using fresh ingredients, and even the garden salad was top-notch. It’s also a great spot for families, large groups, or functions — the space is bigger than it looks and can easily handle it. I’m genuinely surprised more locals aren’t coming here yet, because this is pretty much the best fish spot in the area. I arrived just before opening and they were happy to accommodate me and start cooking a little early — outstanding service. Prices are very reasonable and on par with similar places. This is now my go-to fish spot. There’s another fish place I’ve enjoyed before… but this one takes the cake — or should I say, takes the fish 🐟😄 (I know, sad joke lol) Also, I’m a big eater and I couldn’t move after finishing — enough said.😆

Gribbels has become one of my favourite restaurants in Sydney, the three dip starter with Horta and Greek salad followed by the grilled Octopus is one of the most incredible eating experiences ever. Perfect Occy. Don’t forget to get the Sticky Date pudding, there really isn’t anything better. Love the place , the food and the people, we can’t wait to come back.

WOW! Greeted at the entry with a warm welcome, and immediate service (we did also have a booking). The seafood was just delicious (chefs kiss). Honestly can’t beat their grilled octopus for entree. Was cooked to perfection and the sauce was just so moreish and didn’t overtake the hero of the dish - that octopus! Just succulent and tender. The grilled calamari, scallops, mussels, prawns, fish etc was just mouth watering. We drove an hour and half to get here for an anniversary dinner. Well worth it. Highly recommend. Was a 10/10 for us (also thanks Abra from Abra Grillz for the recommendation!)

We really enjoyed our meal at Gribbels Seafood in Marrickville. The seafood was fresh and absolutely delicious, and the service was warm and welcoming. For the quality of the food, we found the prices reasonable, which made the experience even better. Definitely worth a visit!
