Field and Fin
11 Gerald St, Marrickville NSW 2204, Australia
About
This is an unexpected delight in the heart of Marrickville urban. The generous sized Pizzas and the salty soft bread are a taste sensation. The owner is passionate about this extraordinary sustainable food loop growing up the walls and in the tanks of fish that surround you. 5 min to all the music venues nearby. Feels like a hidden gem - but likely not for long. (Great spicy margaritas). Where do I start? Daryl and his team have created something quite magical, so magical you almost DON'T want

Such a wonderful atmosphere and dining experience! And awesome food! These guys are welcoming, friendly, the perfect hosts. And the food exceeds expectations! Seeing the fish get fed and meeting the dog was a bonus ๐
Field and Finn has a casual and relaxed vibe with beautiful food and staff who make you feel truly welcome. Home baked bread is to die for and the mushroom pizza. A great concept using their own grown food. Walking distance from Sydenham station/metro. So good Iโd prefer to keep this place to myself and my friends!!

Highly recommended!
Where do I start? Daryl and his team have created something quite magical, so magical you almost DON'T want to write a good review that will direct the hoards here; it's a gem to be self-discovered! Off the beaten track. But that would be selfish of me, so share I will. You immediately get a sense of serenity when you arrive - of being welcomed into something unique and special. The place has been created through personal passion, with all sustainability markers thought through. The menu is simple but not too simple, and very tasty, a meal you want to savour, and I did, happy in the knowledge that the produce is socially and environmentally sourced, local, and often from just a few feet away! It's an eclectic place, roomy with high ceilings, lots of different spaces, and props, different things to marvel at; you want to move around and experience it all. And you will want to hear Daryl's story from idea to reality; ask him if he's not too busy. Cocktail of the day, watermelon margarita, always a winner for me on a hot summer's afternoon. We stayed a long time... did not want to leave... and will return for round 2 for sure!!! His beautiful big hounds, gentle giants, normally have their own space, not left to roam but they were allowed out to see us briefly, gorgeous! Did not load photos of the fun-fun-fun silent disco, but it was a perfect finale for a gorgeous long lunch...
