I've had these oysters on a number of occasions and they never let me down, always so fresh and delicious and run by a very dedicated individual!

We purchase a dozen pacific Oysters prior to Christmas. We attempted to eat them & got a few nice Oysters however in the dozen 5 were absolutely off . We phoned Dawsons as a courtesy to the business to let them know & the women was quite defensive & condensing tell us that we weren’t use to the taste of Pacific Oyster’s. We love Oysters & have eaten enough to certainly no the difference between a good fresh tasting Oyster & one that is off and edible. The woman did say she would replace the Oysters however we didn’t want to risk it . { REPLY TO DAWSON’S } we were not told they came from Tasmania nor did the women admit that the Oysters were perishing prior to the expiry date . NOTE The Oysters WERE OPENED not in shell so you are confusing us with another customer !!! Staff/ women offered to replace them but stipulated that they would be replaced with the same Pacific Oysters as they were open and tested every day & it was very unlikely the Oysters were off . She told us that we didn’t appreciate the taste of Pacific Oysters as people compare them to Sydney Rock Oysters . We told her we very much enjoyed the taste of Pacific Oyster but we certainly know the taste of an off Oyster !! We called your business as a courtesy & to rectify the situation the ONE STAR review is for the rude & condescending manner in which the women spoke to us & of course the Oysters that you sold us . We were NOT offered Sydney Rock Oyster as a replacement or we may have taken up the offer !! Your business didn’t get the opportunity to rectify the problem and that sits entirely with your staff member, not us !!

Best oysters around. Had school prawns as well and my goodness... all incredible. Highly recommended, but get there early as they are busy and rightly so.

Highly recommend the oysters at Dawson’s. Fresh and creamy! Take advantage of the $2 special on Friday and Sunday. Great value.
