Fresh fish and chips by the beach. We got their barramundi fish and chips at $22, pretty reasonable for the size. The breaded fish was much smaller, not sure if it was because of the breading or just the inconsistency in size. Regardless, they were both fried to perfection, which is hard to do for barra. Their tartare sauce is also housemade and definitely worth the extra $2. Will come again when i'm in the area :)
Wow, wow, wow! This is another honest review. Service: there was a young gentleman and a young lady serving, 5 stars, both friendly, greeted with a smile. Food: we ordered the โFishermanโs packโ $59.90, it was huge, but most importantly, it was fantastic, the crumbed fish and calamari had what looked like it had sesame seeds and other bits I couldnโt identify through the mix, it was delicious, full of flavour. The calamari was tender, melt in your mouth, chips were perfect. Comes with lemon pieces and 2 mini sauces of your choice. Itโs an outdoor eatery so you can eat onsite but outdoors, I did takeaway on this occasion. I highly recommend if you want great fish and chips! Weโll be back!
We came here based off of the reviews and we were not disappointed at all. We dined in during a Saturday afternoon and there was no wait to order and very short wait for our snapper fish n chips. We can say it's definitely some of the best we have had. Cooked to perfection and not greasy. Large portion of chips as well!
Not a fan. The so called โrock fishโ was very much basa. Slimy, tasteless and not nice We ordered that and the batter was oily ,it was nice and crispy thought . Potato scallops could have been cooked longer and were uneven, one was thick and the other was next to paper thin so much it didnโt exist on one end Chips were ok probably the best part wasnโt impressed BUT we will give it another try with cod next time just donโt order rock fish, didnโt even know rock fish existed thatโs why we tried it,never again Prawns were a little chewy Atmosphere is great sitting opposite the beach ,if you can get a seat Parking is impossible as itโs by the beach and road works are going on,so itโs either paid parking or do rounds finding a space Spent about $60 with 2 drinks. Not sure why so many great reviews tho, maybe these people made nicer choices. Not the best by far and we have tried a lot of places . Place is clean and friendly staff. Service wasnโt long to wait. Portions are rather large tho we could have fed 3 on what we had. Will give it another try
I ate the family pack for my TIkToK LIVE stream and wow..it was incredible. There were 2 Barramundi and 2 Hoki fillet both crumbed and battered weighing approximately 1 kg in total. The fish was fresh, meaty and tender. The crumb was super crispy and the batter was smooth. A tad oily so remember to squeeze lemon on it for balance. The crumbed prawns and the calamari piece were fresh, crunchy and bouncy. Approx weight for both were 500 grams. The seafood pairs well with their tartar sauce which is made in house with fresh dill bringing the herb garden to your meal. The fries were light and non greasy. Pair this with their freshly made Aioli and/or spicy Ailoi sauce (which does have a punch to it) to level up the experience. approx weight 500grams. The potato scallops were like cut potato slices. Pair this with their fresh smokey BBQ which has a tangy flavour to keep the meal in balance. I like to thank Chef Menan for the invite and look out for a food challenge in the future.
