โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ Aysel Restaurant โ€“ Fitzroy Aysel is truly one of Melbourneโ€™s hippest and most heartfelt Turkish dining experiences. Tucked away on Smith Street, this restaurant feels like a warm embrace the moment you walk in. The walls are adorned with beautiful family photographs that celebrate Turkish culture, history, and tradition โ€” it genuinely feels like being welcomed into someoneโ€™s home. The food is exceptional. Every dish is rich, soulful, and full of flavour โ€” you can taste the love and heritage in every bite. Itโ€™s the kind of place that lets you experience Turkey right here in Melbourne. We came here for our end-of-year Christmas party, and it was the perfect choice. The ambience is intimate yet vibrant, and the night was elevated even further with live music and belly dancing. The energy was infectious โ€” everyone got up, danced, and truly embraced the spirit of the evening. By the end of the night, the celebration even spilled outside, and we found ourselves dancing in the street under the Fitzroy lights. It was joyful, spontaneous, and completely unforgettable. The service was warm, attentive, and genuine. Our group felt completely looked after, and the entire experience made our Christmas celebration truly special. Whether itโ€™s a work event, reunion, birthday, or milestone moment, Aysel is the kind of restaurant that turns a simple dinner into a beautiful, lasting memory. Highly recommend โ€” and weโ€™ll definitely be returning!

Hell of an experience! I felt like I was in Izmir, enjoying a great night in my own country. That said, I want to highlight that this is an awesome place if you want to introduce Turkish culture to someone. Theyโ€™re booked out on weekends a couple of weeks in advance, so make sure to reserve your table. We were lucky to get one! Since we were visiting from QLD and only staying in Melbourne for a few days, we just knocked on the doorโ€”having no idea that an amazing night was waiting for us. Their friendly staff understood our situation and managed to organize a table for us in a fully booked restaurant. Thanks to them, we had an unforgettable experience. The hospitality, warmth, service, food, live music, belly dancerโ€”everything was next-level entertainment while enjoying delicious food and friendly service. The atmosphere is cozy, vibrant, cultural, and welcoming. I could go on and on, but it's better if you just visit and experience the taste of traditional Turkish food and one hell of an entertaining night @Aysel.

Delicious, authentic food, all made by hand from scratch and reasonably priced. Highly recommend the Manti, Humus, Garlic/Chilli Prawns & Mixed grill. Come hungry because you wonโ€™t want to stop eating.

Absolutely delighted with the authentic Turkish flavours here! The Manti, green bean salad, and Adana took me straight back to the streets of Istanbul, rich, fresh, and perfectly balanced. Portions were generous without losing quality, and you could tell every dish was made with love. The service was warm and welcoming, making the whole experience feel like a little slice of Turkey right here. Canโ€™t wait to return and try more of the menu (and more of the same :))
